Blossom, Learn & Grow Tutoring and Advocacy, LLC is a one-person tutoring and advocacy practice in Santa Rosa, California, run by Jeanne M. Walters, M.A.. This page explains what happens to your information when you use this website or contact us. If anything here is unclear, call (707) 953-2118 and ask.
The short version
- We collect what you type into the contact form, and nothing else.
- We do not sell or share your personal information, for money or for anything else.
- There are no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, and no third-party cookies on this site.
- We do not run ads, and we do not give your information to anyone who does.
- Ask us to delete your information and we will, without asking why.
What we collect
Only what you send us. The contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address, an optional phone number, which service you are interested in, and your message. Your message often includes details about your child, because that is what you are writing to us about. We treat it accordingly.
The form also records the date and time you sent it and the IP address the submission came from. That is used to block automated spam and for nothing else.
We do not use cookies to track you. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, loads no tracking pixels, and has no social media widgets that report your visit back to a platform.
What we do with it
We read it and we reply to it. Your message goes to Jeanne’s inbox and is kept so she can follow up with you and remember the conversation if you come back later. If you tick the box saying it is okay to email you, we may occasionally send you something we think is genuinely useful, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link that works.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to a data broker. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act those are the things a “sale” or a “share” means, and we do none of them.
Who else sees it
Two service providers handle information on our behalf, and only to deliver this website and our email:
- Willhite Strategy Group, who built and host this site, and who keep the contact records on our behalf.
- Resend, the service that delivers our email.
Both are bound to use the information only to provide that service. Nobody else gets it, unless the law requires us to hand it over.
Children
This site is written for parents, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13. Parents do tell us about their children when they write to us, and that information is part of the message, not something we gather separately. If your child has sent us something and you would like it removed, call (707) 953-2118 or email blossomlearnandgrow@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
If your child becomes a tutoring student, records that come out of the tutoring itself, such as school documents, assessments, IEP paperwork and session notes, are kept confidentially as part of the professional relationship and are never used for marketing.
The same thing, in the law’s own categories
California requires this to be spelled out in a particular set of headings. Here it is in that form. It does not describe anything different from the plain-English version above.
Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months. Identifiers, meaning your name, email address, phone number and IP address; and your own written message, which may include information about your child. No financial account numbers, no government identifiers, no precise geolocation, no biometric data. We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CCPA defines it.
Categories of sources. One: you, directly, through the contact form on this website or by calling or emailing us. We buy nothing from data brokers and we collect nothing from advertising networks or social platforms.
Business purposes for collecting it. To answer your inquiry, to schedule and provide tutoring or advocacy services, to keep in touch with you about work already underway, to send you email you have asked for, and to prevent spam and abuse of the form.
Categories of third parties we disclose it to. Two, both service providers acting on our instructions: our website and hosting provider, and our email delivery provider. Named above. That is the complete list. We disclose to nobody else, except where the law compels it.
Categories sold or shared. None. We have not sold or shared any personal information in the past 12 months, and we do not do so now, for any business or commercial purpose.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as there is a reason to: an active inquiry, a current or former student, or an ongoing advocacy matter. When there is no longer a reason, we delete them. You do not have to wait for that.
Your rights, and how to use them
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you all of these, and we honor them for everyone who asks, in California or not:
- The right to know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why, and who we disclosed it to.
- The right to a copy of that information, in a portable form.
- The right to correct anything we hold that is wrong.
- The right to delete what we hold about you.
- The right to opt out of sale or sharing. There is nothing to opt out of, because we do neither, but the right stands.
- The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Again, we do not collect any, so there is nothing to limit.
- The right not to be treated differently for using any of the above. Ask us to delete your information and you will still get the same service, at the same price.
To use any of them, email blossomlearnandgrow@gmail.com or call (707) 953-2118 and say what you want. We will confirm who you are, which usually just means replying from the address you wrote to us with, and respond within 45 days. There is no form to fill in and no charge.
If someone is acting for you. An authorized agent can make any of these requests on your behalf. Have them email blossomlearnandgrow@gmail.com with written permission signed by you. We will check with you directly that you asked them to, unless they hold a power of attorney, and we will ask you to confirm your own identity the same way as above. There is no charge for this either.
Your browser may send a Global Privacy Control signal. We honor it, though in practice there is nothing for it to switch off here, because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the contact records are held on an access-controlled server, and only Jeanne and Willhite Strategy Group can reach them. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
Changes to this policy
If we change it we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the home page rather than hoping you notice.
